The XV Festival Habano Gala Night in Havana is one of the centrepiece events of the international tobacco calendar. I produced the video loop that served as a live backdrop during an aerial silk acrobatics performance: a context where the animation had to be visually compelling enough to hold the eye while remaining subordinate to the live performer in front of it. Timing and restraint were the primary design criteria.
